The State Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam also the Commissioner Ministry for local government and chieftaincy affairs disclosed this while declaring open a two day workshop organized for the newly appointed Director personal management officers and Treasures held at the weekend in Kaduna State.
The Deputy Governor explained that, the newly appointed Director personal management officers and Treasures were carefully selected based on their track record of service and the confidence reposed on them by the present administration, there fore the need to widening their horizons to meet the challenge ahead.
Comrade Abdussalam says Kano state government will not relent on it's efforts to ensure better welfare for civil servants across the state.
Hence, warned that the government will not condone acts of laxity, insubordination, absencetism, insincerity among others acts capable of drawing the efforts so far gained by the present administration.
He therefore enjoined all Local Government Management staff to operate from local government headquarters, as government will embark on a serious and unscheduled visits to ensure compliance of the said directives.
Earlier, The Permanent Secretary ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Malan Ibrahim Muhammad Kabara expressed appreciation to Kano state governments for organizing the training which he described as timely.
Kabara also assured that, the ministry will continue to remain committed and focused to restore the lost glory of the local government areas for speedy development of the State.
Responding to the training The Present Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Kano state chapter Comrade Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo appealed to government to provide conducive atmosphere for the staff to discharge their mandates effectively and efficiently, he urged.
