Institutional Support: ACReSAL Support Varsity with Million's Of Naira Laboratory

Kano State Government has reiterated it stances to continue to accord top priority attention to education sector in view of its uniqueness.

The state governor Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf announced this at the formal commissioning of soil and water laboratory donated to  Geography department at Yusuf maitama Sule university by the Agro Climatic Resilience In Semi - Arid Landscape (ACReSAL).

In a statement issued and made available to Iggnews by the Communication officer of Kano ACReSAL Maryam Abdulkadir, reported.

The governor who was represented by the Chief of Staff government House, Alh Shehu Wada Sagagi who eulogize ACReSAL project for its people oriented projects as well as institutional Support, which he said would go alone way in boosting education sector and is in tandem with the present administration resolved in improving education sector.

In his address, the project coordinator Kano ACReSAL project Dr. Dahir Mohammed Hashim pointed out that this project is a world bank project in collaboration with federal and 19 northern states including the FCT , for integrated climate resilient in landscape management.

Dr. Hashim said the laboratory was established base on the request by the department of geography in order to improve teaching and learning in the institution as well as increase the research work among the teeming students.

He commended the starling administration leadership style of governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving their request with sole aimed to impact positively to the lives of the average people in the state,and hope the tempo would be sustained for More commitments.

The Head of Geography department of the university Malan Nazifi Umar explained that with the establishment of this laboratory, certainly it would help the department in securing accreditation from the National University Commission (NUC), since is part of the requirements to be accredited by the commission, pledged to use the laboratory for research purposes and other educational issues to improve the students horizons.
