The Emir of Kano Alhaji Mohammadu Sanusi II has called on parents in the state to work relentlessly in shaping children horizon for better tomorrow.
Alhaji Sanusi II who spoke through Wazirin Kano, Alhaji Sa'adu Shehu Gidado made the admonishment today (Saturday) at his palace when he received Interim Management Committee chairmen, Local Governments Councils, District Heads, Village and Wards heads and Imams of Fifteen local governments from Kano Central senatorial district who paid him a homage and blessing seeking visit in his palace.
The Emir said parents has enermous task in ensuring proper upbringing of their wards, urged them to remain vigilant, and be proactive towards curtailing drug abuse and other unwanted attitudes by youths in the state.
He also tasked the visitors to be just and fear of Allah in their undertakings and pray ceaselessly for peace, stability and socio-economic development of the state in particular and the country as a whole.
The State Chairman Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), also Interim Management Chairman of Tarauni local government area Alhaji Abdullahi Maikano said they were at the palace to register their homage and unflinching support to the Emir of Kano.
Alhaji Abdullahi Maikano added that having Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano is a Divine gift which of fully utelize, would be of immense benefit to the state in view of the Lamido's influence globally.
The Interim Officer doffed hat to Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for assenting to the Repeal Law of 2024 that paved way for the reinstatement of Emir Sanusi an action that was happily welcomed by well-wishers of the state.
He assured the support and cooperation of people of Kano central senatorial district to the traditional institution to forge ahead.
