*KNSG reiterate readiness to collaborate with relevant organisation for speedy development.*

The Kano State government says it's ready to collaborate with relevant organisation to take Kano to a greater hight, in view of its uniqueness nature especially at the Environmental sector.

The State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change Rt. Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo dropped the hints while receiving the representative of the Unicef Kano field office Mr. Yaonn Cancan who paid an advocacy visit to the commissioner office.

Garo expressed appreciation for the visit and described it as timely, while restating the ministry of Environment and Climate Change full support and commitment to work very closely with the Unicef towards achieving the set objectives.

The Commissioner further explained some of the key action plan already developed by the ministry as a proactive measures towards addressing some environmental challenges and ensure clean and tidy environment in the state.
Earlier, in his remarks the representative of the Unicef Kano field office, Mr. Yaonn Cancan said they were at the commissioner office today to introduce themselves and seek for collaboration with the ministry to tackle the issue of Silted drainages within the metropolitan areas, especially now that we are approaching the rainy season period, so the need for evacuation of the drainages to allow water flow freely without any obstruction or mayhem.

Mr. Yaonn expressed optimism that this collaboration it would certainly yields positive results and commended the commissioner for exchanging pleasantries.
