The Newly elected President of Kano Chamber of Commerce Alh Garba Imam fcib, made the disclosure today at the media briefing organized by the Chamber as part of preparation for the hosting of the forth coming 44th Kano international trade fair which is expected to commenced from 25th November to 9th December, 2023.
The theme of this year's trade fair is, *Economic Diversification, Inclusive Growth And Sustainable Development*
The subthemes are:
• Building Domestic Capacity For Export Diversification
• Enhancing Agricultural Value Chain For Global Market
• Unlocking Investment Opportunities In Solid Minerals
The President however explained that the selection of this theme and subthemes is informed by the fact that Economic Diversification is key to achieving inclusive growth and sustainable socioeconomic development.
It's indeed a tool that is embraced by the global community in stimulating export drive and domestic self-sufficient, hence the choice which cut across commerce, industry, mines and agriculture.
Alh Imam also pointed out that the trade fair committee under the chairman ship of Dr. Nuruddeen Abba Abdullahi, min has been working tirelessly and deligently towards providing a befitting secured venue, mobilizing all categories of participants for the colorful opening ceremony on the said date.
The President also highlighted that as part of their starategies to achieve a colossal and colorful event, the council has embarked on contact and advocacy visit to all categories of participants and partners, among which are, Dangote Group, BUA Group, Mamuda Industries, Nigerian Ports Authority, CBN, NCC, NDIC, Lee Group, Aspira, Banks and other Financial institution's, foreign missions and Embassies, The National Assembly, Federal and State MDAs and many other stakeholders towards mobilizing quality participation at the Fair.
He enjoined all and sundry to be at the Fair because of it uniqueness nature ever seen before, he added.
